Day 1 Arrive Perth, Fremantle Be met and transferred to your hotel in the colourful port city of Fremantle. Settle in to your room, then enjoy a Welcome Dinner later this evening to meet your Travelmarvel Tour Director and your fellow travellers.Three Nights: Esplanade Hotel Fremantle – by Rydges

Day 2 Perth, Swan River Cruise This morning travel by coach into Perth to discover some of the city’s highlights, including the Botanic Gardens and walkways of the beautiful Kings Park, overlooking the city. Later, return to Fremantle on a leisurely cruise along the picturesque Swan River. Fremantle is famous for its idyllic beaches, and colonial architecture.

Day 3 Fremantle A day at leisure to explore the city. Perhaps visit the Western Australian Maritime Museum; explore the numerous historic buildings on a stroll around the harbour; or discover the vibrant atmosphere of Fremantle Markets. Or, you may wish to join one of the two exciting Optional Experiences available: a cruise to the historic Swan Valley wine region to taste some premium local wines. Or spend the day on Rottnest Island (both at own expense).

Day 4 Fremantle, Perth, Alice Springs After breakfast, transfer to Perth Airport for the flight to Alice Springs. Nestled between the MacDonnell Ranges, this iconic Outback town is the centre of Australia. A major hub in Australia’s red centre, Alice Springs also acts as the main access point for Uluru. Day 5 Alice Springs Early this morning, you may like to take a balloon flight over the desert at sunrise (own expense), before joining the rest of the group to enjoy panoramic views of the town and surrounding MacDonnell Ranges from Anzac Hill. Enjoy the remainder of the morning at leisure. Like a Local – visit the Royal Flying Doctor Service and School of the Air. This evening, perhaps take a camel ride at sunset (own expense).

Day 6 Alice Springs, Kata Tjuta, Uluru Travel through rugged landscapes to Uluru Kata Tjuta National Park. Discovered by explorers in 1872, Uluru (Ayers Rock) is one of Australia’s most famous and sacred sites. Visit the rock domes and peaks of Kata Tjuta (The Olgas) and walk to Walpa Gorge. Like a Local – enjoy a glass of wine while watching the sunset over Uluru. Tonight, an opportunity to join a Optional Experience – the Sounds of Silence Dinner – where you’ll dine on Australian delicacies whilst seated under the canopy of the desert night (own expense). Day 7 Uluru, Cairns Like a Local – this morning, marvel at the magnifi cent sunrise over Uluru and take a guided tour around the base, viewing caves and Indigenous rock art sites. Afterwards, fl y to Cairns in Tropical North Queensland. Special Stay – enjoy a two-night escape at the Pullman Cairns International in a stylish room with mountain views. Day 8 Great Barrier Reef Like a Local – experience a real tour highlight today as you cruise from Cairns by fast catamaran to Reef Magic’s exclusive activity platform and enjoy fi ve hours amid the colourful coral and marine life. Here you’ll snorkel in the sheltered coral lagoon, walk through the underwater observatory, join a guided tour on the semi-submersible or glass bottom boat, or simply relax on the spacious sun deck, before enjoying a lunch of local specialities on board. On return to the mainland, enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 9 Cairns, Port Douglas Farewell Cairns and take a short drive north to idyllic Port Douglas. This patch of paradise is the meeting point of the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest and the Great Barrier Reef. Day 10 Port Douglas Today is yours to relax and enjoy the tranquil surrounds. Perhaps explore Cape Tribulation in the Daintree National Park, home to the world’s oldest living rainforest, or ride the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway in Kuranda (both at own expense).

Day 11 Port Douglas, Melbourne Return to Cairns and fl y south to Melbourne. With its cutting-edge designs and heritage architecture, spacious parks and villagelike suburbs, fabulous arts and world-class sporting action, you’ll quickly learn why this city is considered one of the most liveable in the world. Day 12 Melbourne Today, explore the city’s highlights on a tour, including the quaint Cook’s Cottage, lively Federation Square and the beautiful Royal Botanic Gardens. Venture outside of the city to the renowned Yarra Valley wine region where lunch awaits amid the vine-covered countryside. Or perhaps join an Optional Experience to witness
the Penguin Parade at Phillip Island (own expense).

Day 13 Melbourne Today is completely free for you to explore at leisure. You may wish to take a sightseeing cruise on the Yarra River to enjoy unique views of the Melbourne skyline; discover the breathtaking coastal scenery, native fl ora and fauna, and intriguing towns along the Great Ocean Road on a full-day tour; or enjoy a memorable dinner aboard the historic Colonial Tramcar Restaurant (all at own expense).

Day 14 Melbourne, Sydney Enjoy one last morning to take in the sights at your leisure before heading to the airport for your flight to Sydney. Special Stay – transfer to your hotel, just a short stroll from Darling Harbour. Day 15 Sydney Discover a selection of Sydney’s most incredible sights on a guided tour of the city this morning. A Taste of Australia – your day culminates with a traditional fi sh ‘n’ chip dinner on Bondi Beach tonight.

Day 16 Sydney Enjoy a day at leisure to explore as you choose. Alternatively, you may like to head to the awe-inspiring Blue Mountains National Park, or savour fine wines and explore the stunning gardens of the Hunter Valley (both at own expense).

Day 17 Sydney Appreciate a further day at leisure, or perhaps join one of our Optional Experiences. Enjoy a bird’s eye view of Sydney’s famous coast and waterways aboard a seaplane, or climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge to discover the scale and grandeur of this inspiring global icon (both at own expense). This evening, enjoy a Farewell Drink and Dinner.

Day 18 Depart Sydney Following a day at leisure, you will be transferred to the airport for your onward journey.

Day 1 Sydney to Port Macquarie
Welcome to Sydney! Travel to the Hunter Valley for an exclusive wine tasting and get to know your fellow travellers over a delicious lunch at a local winery. After lunch continue north to picturesque seaside Port Macquarie. Hotel: Waters Edge, Port Macquarie

Day 2 Port Macquarie to Gold Coast
Journey to Cape Byron Lighthouse and enjoy superb views from Australia’s eastern-most point over the Pacifi c Ocean. At the right time of year you may be lucky enough to spot migrating whales frolicking off the coast. For lunch we recommend fresh fi sh and chips on the beach at Byron Bay. Continue to the famous holiday destination, the Gold Coast where you’ll stay for the next two nights. Hotel: Hotel Grand Chancellor, Gold Coast

Day 3 Gold Coast Free Time
Today is yours to do as you choose. You may like to take an optional experience to the stunning Gold Coast Hinterland to discover the rainforest and the picturesque village of Mt Tamborine or just relax on Surfers Paradise beach.

Day 4 Gold Coast to Noosa
After a short orientation tour of Brisbane, visit Australia Zoo made famous by the Crocodile Hunter, the late Steve Irwin. Enjoy a sneak peek in to the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital and see how AAT Kings works with the Wildlife Warriors to support the koala rehabilitation project at the hospital, the country’s largest and busiest wildlife facility. Catch one of the many shows and wander through the zoo’s fascinating grounds. Later travel to the resort town of Noosa for a relaxing stay. This evening join your fellow travellers for dinner at Noosa Surf Lifesaving Club with views over the beach. Hotel: Sebel Noosa, 2 nights

Day 5 Noosa Free Time
Discover Noosa for yourself. Swim at Noosa Main Beach or try an easy, spectacular walk along the headland through to Noosa National Park. You may like to hire a stand-up paddle board or even take a boat ride through the incredible Noosa Everglades, one of Australia’s most beautiful wilderness areas. You’ll love the dark waterways and myriad of wildlife along the Noosa River- it’s truly spectacular! This evening choose one of the town’s eateries and dine on inspiring local delights.

Day 6 Noosa - Fraser Island
A day of discovery lies ahead as you cross by ferry to explore the wonders of World Heritage listed Fraser Island. Your 4WD tour takes you to the coloured sands of Rainbow Beach (tidal) and beyond. Visit Lake McKenzie, ringed with magnifi cent white sandy beaches. Walk through the ancient rainforest at Central Station with its huge satiny, scribbly gum and kauri trees and enjoy a delicious BBQ lunch before arriving in Hervey Bay. Hotel: Mantra Hervey Bay


Day 7 Hervey Bay to Rockhampton
Stop at Langmorn Station, a fully operational cattle station. A member of the Creed family will treat you to a guided tour of the property including their original family homestead, built in 1873. Enjoy afternoon tea in the garden in the company of the pet kangaroo! Cross the Tropic of Capricorn as you arrive in Rockhampton, the beef capital of Australia! Your night is free so why not try some local beef at one of the town’s steakhouses. Hotel: Quality Regent, Rockhampton

Day 8 Rockhampton to Hamilton Island
Travel North to the sugar town of Sarina for a guided tour through a miniature sugar mill and lunch! On your tour you’ll get a peak in to sugar cane processing and witness fully functioning sugar processing and distilling equipment in action. Afterwards you can taste some of the products made on site before sitting down for a light lunch. Continue past Mackay to Airlie Beach to catch a ferry to Hamilton Island one of 74 tropical islands that make up the Whitsundays. You’ll be surrounded by pristine beaches, and a kaleidoscope of coral and marine life! Hotel: Reef View Hotel, Hamilton Island, 2 nights

Day 9 Hamilton Island
Take a cruise to explore famous Whitehaven Beach, voted Australia’s best! Feel the sand between your toes and if you’re up to it, take a walk to a lookout for views over the beautiful waters and islands of the Coral Sea. This afternoon you’re free to enjoy paradise.

Day 10 Hamilton Island to Mission Beach
This morning you’ll board a ferry back to the mainland and continue north along the Bruce Highway to Townsville for a stop at lunchtime when you’ll have the opportunity to take a stroll along the Strand with views to Magnetic Island. Your destination for the night is Mission Beach where you’ll stay with views over the ocean. Magic! Hotel: Castaways Resort and Spa, Mission Beach

Day 11 Mission Beach to Cairns
This morning there will be time to take a walk along the shore and feel the golden sand between your toes before you depart Mission Beach. Today you’ll travel through the high tropical plateau known as the Atherton Tablelands, where lush rainforests, waterfalls and lakes abound. Visit Millaa Millaa Falls and the famous Curtain Fig Tree. Keep an eye out for the spectacular Ulysses Butterfly while you’re there. Continue to Kuranda where you’ll stop around lunch time. Enjoy some free time to explore the village in the rainforest. You may like to journey to Cairns on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Hotel: Novotel Cairns Oasis Resort, Cairns, 2 nights

Day 12 The Great Barrier Reef
Board a high speed catamaran and cruise out to the Great Barrier Reef. The world heritage listed reef is the only living organism you can see from the moon. Imagine that! You’ll have the opportunity to go snorkelling and view this natural living wonder up- close (equipment provided) and view the spectacular coral and tropical fish from the underwater observatory and the semi- submersible craft. Enjoy a delicious tropical buffet lunch before you return to Cairns in the late afternoon. This evening join your fellow travellers for a Farewell Dinner at a local restaurant where you’ll get the opportunity to taste traditional Australian bush flavours.

Day 13 Farewell from Cairns
Your wonderful holiday comes to an end after breakfast when you bid farewell to your new found friends.
